Laos & Norway agree on diplomatic visa exemption

VIENTIANE (Vientiane Times/ANN) – Holders of Lao diplomatic passports, known as red passports, no longer need to obtain a visa to enter Norway, according to the Lao Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The ministry said yesterday that Laos and Norway agreed in August 2018 to provide visa exemptions for the holders of diplomatic passports travelling from one country to the other. However, the agreement only became effective on June 1.
